Indellient

It’s that time of year again. Some of our Indellient team members will be grabbing their Year 3 sticker at ChefConf 2019. Needless to say, we are looking forward to a fantastic time with all of you, the #ChefFriends community.

The Chef team has put together several incredible opportunities to learn, discuss and grow. Here is what you can expect as well as some tips and tricks (ahem… corned beef recos…).

What to Expect at ChefConf

Rock-Solid Workshops to Help You Achieve DevOps All-Star Status

The ChefConf workshops will not disappoint. There are several topics that you can choose from whether it’s on DevOps transformation, application modernization, Habitat/InSpec/Automate training sessions, optimizing the cloud and more.

From beginner to advance, there is something for everyone. We are running a Chef Habitat workshop with Chef. Other great workshops include Managing A Devops Transformation and Detect And Correct With Inspec And Chef On The AWS Platform.

Sessions that are Full of Tips on How to Manage DevOps in the Wild

Getting started with DevOps and automation and then extending it across your organization brings with it unique challenges related to people, process and technology.

That’s where the breakout sessions help. They are the guiding light you need. You’ll get to see first-hand how teams across different industries became confident with the tools, processes and automation needed to make them the leaders they are today.

Any Chef Habitat users, fans, or interested folks out there? Our very own Skyler Layne (Chef Habitat Super-User) will be talking about how to bring a Chef Habitat Depot on-premise.

Many Chances to Get Your Questions Answered from the Product Experts Themselves

Just running around the conference, you’ll get a chance to have face-to-face time with several of your peers along with experts from Google, AWS, Microsoft, DataDog, Sensu, LogDNA and more.

Are you looking for more opportunities to learn and ask questions? We set up a Chef Launch Pad at the Indellient booth where you have the chance to ask our experts everything about DevOps, Chef and more. We want to make sure you have all the key takeaways you are looking to get at this conference. Make sure to swing by. And feel free to bring your laptop if you really want to get into the details. We’re ready!

Last but not least, check out the demo stage that is in the exhibit area for a chance to get up close and personal with some amazing tools and tech.

Seattle Tips and Tricks

Getting to the venue and around Seattle

Figuring out how to get around a city for a conference is always that last minute thing you figure out. Here is ChefConf’s guide on what you need to know to go from airport to the hotel and how to get around the city. Overall, once you’re downtown it’s easy to walk around. Bring comfy shoes and a raincoat!

Did anyone check out the Corned Beef options?

We sure did! Here’s a list of great spots to check out.

Anything other than Corned Beef dining options?

Here are a few of our favorite Seattle dining spots near the hotel: Serious Pie, Dahlia Lounge, Assaggio Ristorante and Lola. Donut fan? We filled up on Stan’s Donuts last year in Chicago for ChefConf and we will definitely check out Top Pot Doughnuts in Seattle this year.

Getting to Seattle Early or Staying Later?

It’s almost summer and that means there are tons of events starting up in Seattle. Check out all the great things happening this month.

Have you been to an Amazon Go store yet? There are a few locations in Seattle to try.

See you all soon! Travel safely.
