Indellient is so excited to start up our Spotlight Program again and introduce our Lead Systems Analyst Andrew Chan. Andrew Chan has been with Indellient since January 2008 and is a part of our success from the early beginnings of the company. Today Andrew talks a little bit about his life at Indellient.
Tell us more about what you do at Indellient?
” Much of my work revolves around the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) pipelines. These pipelines involve any number of processes that perform the transfer and transformation of data between data sources (typically relational databases). While my responsibilities usually fall under the engineering role, there have been projects where I also assisted with the business and data analysis. “
What is your favorite part about working at Indellient?
” It may sound cliché but it’s the people and culture. A retired couple once offered me a sage piece of wisdom: “Make sure you enjoy going into work every day”. I’ll confirm it’s much easier to follow said advice when the co-workers you deal with daily are also ones you consider friends. As such the environment that is fostered has been one of openness, flexibility, comradery, and little drama. “
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.
“I consider myself Indellient’s first true outside employee as everyone who started before me had some personal connection to one of the senior partners. Chalk it up to good old-fashioned pounding the pavement. “
